The study examined 60 smartphones equipped with biometric security features, including fingerprint scanning, facial recognition, and iris scanning.

Shockingly, 26 out of the 60 tested devices—a staggering 43%—could be unlocked with a simple passport photo held up to the selfie camera. This exposes a major vulnerability in certain facial recognition systems, making them easy targets for unauthorized access.

Relying solely on facial recognition may not be the safest choice. Instead, consider these more secure alternatives:

• Use a Six-Digit PIN – A longer PIN provides an extra layer of security.
